NXS Secured Server

Overview

The NXS secured server platform is based on a custom built and hardened kernel version of the well known Berkeley Software Distribution derived FreeBSD operating system. This operating system has strong UNIX® heritage and is widely deployed worldwide for Internet backbone and infrastructure use. Our secured server platform uses advanced versions of our TrojanXproof® software of which the reference versions are freely available at TrojanProof.org. These enhanced versions provide extended coverage into other areas of the operating system. Currently our Hotel Internet Access systems use security components derived from this secured server platform.

Security requirements are determined on individual site needs basis to decide the level of security hardening that is applied to the delivered secure server installation. This is due to the increased level of maintenance and support driven by increased secure level modes of operation. Security monitoring and remote support services are available for these systems as described in our support pages. Read our reference paper and view our presentations on the TrojanXproof concepts.
